Client SuccessWest of England DMU – Topographical and Manhole Surveys

Project requirements

AMCO required detailed full corridor Topographical and Underground Utility Surveys to enable the design of eight station refurbishments in the greater Bristol area.

Structure and platform gauging was carried out, together with laser sweeps. The deliverables were also to include a survey of all inspection chambers to provide dimensions, photos and a written report.

40Seven solution

All works were carried during week night line-blocks utilising multiple teams of surveyors to capture all the required data in the shortest period possible. A flexible approach to working was required, as the shift patterns and timings were liable to change at short notice.

Benefits delivered

Each site was downloaded and processed at the end of each shift, which allowed us to deliver the surveys to the client quickly in a preliminary format. This also allowed us stage the delivery of each element of the survey to meet the client specific requirements.
