New Manhole Survey Technique
IETG has introduced a revolutionary new concept for
manhole
surveying which uses digital data collection
techniques to
drastically reduce turnaround time
between site and client and the risk
of
error and inaccuracy.
IETG has many years experience of conducting Manhole surveys
of Drainage networks throughout the UK.
The surveys can provide a complete, new record of a particular
drainage system where records are poor or non-existent, be used on “critical“ sewers to help address specific problems, or used to “infill”
gaps in existing data. The information can then be used as necessary
in detailed modelling or re-modelling of the system.
Often, the results of such information are time-critical, and therefore
have cost implications.
The benefits of our new manhole survey
technique are:
• Processing time is reduced to a minimum, meaning you no longer
need to wait weeks for your results to be input and verified.
• Surveys are completed with fewer errors and anomalies. This is
because the software used in the process carries out internal checks
so that problems can be resolved whilst on-site, without the need
for time-consuming re-visits.
• Geo-referenced CCTV can be hyperlinked and integrated with all
major GIS software packages
Survey Results
The Survey results can be supplied in various formats to our clients
depending on their requirements, including hard copy Manhole
Cards, STC 25 Database or CD ROM.
Our Commitment to Health Safety and Quality

That training is regularly
reviewed to ensure they are equipped with the necessary skills
to use the latest technologies.
